La Famiglia: The Great Mafia War is a German board game designed by Maximilian Maria Thiel, and published by Boardgame Atelier, which has described it as "a conflict game set against the backdrop of a mafia feud in Sicily". The game is based upon the mafia wars in Sicily in the 1980s, being specifically inspired by the battle waged by the Corleonesi in which they asserted their control over Cosa Nostra, resulting in the death of over 1,000 people between 1981 and 1983.
