Introduce yourself: what's on your shelf?

Welcome to Board Game Check! This is the thread for saying hello.

Tell us three things: where you play, the game that got you into the hobby, and the game you would bring to a table of strangers.

I'll go ahead and answer first. I am almost always playing at a kitchen table except when we get wild and crazy and play at an outdoor picnic table. The classic Catan was my first introduction into the hobby. For bringing a game to a table of strangers who are newer to the hobby, I would bring Mysterium or Codenames!

No question is too basic here. If you are wondering what a "euro" is or whether an expansion needs the base game, ask.
