A game for parents who only play cards?
By Sam · 22 October 2026 · edited
A question that comes up at every game night and every family holiday.
Let's say you have parents or in-laws who play rummy, bridge or hearts every week. However, every time you try to introduce a game with some additional tokens or even a board they immediately turn you down. They will not read a rulebook. Two to four players, done in under an hour.
What has actually worked for you? My short list that have been a hit with my family: Skull King for trick-takers, The Crew, and Codenames when the whole family is together for the holidays.
What have you tried that they enjoyed?
